Naseem Khan has been involved in a broad body of research work whose focus has been innovation and social change.
She was a Senior Associate with the consultancy Comedia for many years, and team leader for sections of their influential studies on Parks and Urban Open Space (1995), the Future of Public Libraries (1993), the Social Impact of the Arts (1997). In addition she worked on a large number of local authority arts and cultural plans – for Bedford, Gravesend, Redbridge, Newham, and for institutions like Blackburn Museum and Art Gallery and the Victoria and Albert Museum.
Her own consultancy worked on major investigations including work for the London Borough of Hounslow – with its large Asian population – on the use of leisure centres and libraries, on the impact of the V & A Museum’s Chinese and Indian Galleries and Oxford City’s arts provision for Asian users.

– Evaluation of the impact of Shamiana, the Mughal Tent participatory project, Victoria & Albert Museum
